Alternative ration card should be given: Abhijeet Banerjee

There is a lockdown in the entire country due to the corona virus epidemic. India's economy is falling rapidly due to lockdown. In the havoc of the Corona virus, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is constantly talking to economists and making his suggestions. Meanwhile, he had a special conversation with Nobel laureate Abhijeet Banerjee about the economy through video conferencing.

During this conversation, Abhijeet Banerjee told Rahul Gandhi that due to the lockdown, to improve the economy, a large part of the country has to send money to the hands of the population.

Alternative Ration Card: Many people in the country are not getting ration due to lockdown. Abhijeet Banerjee says that the ration card that is currently running in the country should be postponed and everyone should be given an alternate ration card.

Incentive Package: During the conversation, Abhijeet said that India needs a good incentive package which the government is not able to provide right now.

Abhijeet says that by implementing a system like justice, there is nothing wrong in sending money to 60% people of the lower class.

Abhijeet said that the Aadhaar claims for Public Distribution System (PDS) could help the population of a large part of the country. He also said that state governments should be allowed to take their own decisions in lockdown.
